Easter Egg Hunt Layout with Pictures

Here is my Easter Egg Hunt layout with pictures. The pictures were taken last year in March 2008. It was so cold that morning. My children ended up going on two egg hunts. I had them list their top 10 things the like about Easter egg hunts.

April Workshop

This is a layout I will be doing for my workshop in April. I used Oct 2007 PageMaps for the layout design. I got the title "EGG Hunt" from another CTMH consultant, Nicole and used the same colors she did for the letters.

Jedi Training is all HE wanted

This layout is from a workshop that my up-line Brandy Jo did. I changed the title to fit with my pictures. I had my children journal with me. I have written it using the exact words they used. Here is what we wrote:

I wrote - Once my son watched the Jedi training that's all he wanted to do. We waited and waited, but each time he was not chosen. It killed me when my daughter was chosen instead of him. I know it made him sad to sit and watch her do what he wanted to do so badly! After it was over he told me that they probably didn't pick him because he already knew how to use a light saber and fight like a Jedi. I took my kids to the gift shop to buy a light saber of their own. My son was finally happy.

My son wrote - When my sister got chosen I was jumping like a wild monkey and screaming like a wearwolf because I wanted to go up there but I didn't. The oldest kids up there did not now what he did with the life saber, but I now what he did. I will tell you what he did he swang it back and forth in front of his face 3 times, then stabed it. I was mad that I did not go up there and my sister did. I was wondering how Darthvaders life saber was like it was on T.V.

My daughter wrote - I trieTd to mack my brother raise his hand to get him up there. it was fun Jedi training! I was afrad? it was fun playing! it was fun Playing with the lifesaver I got uyoust to it!

Cowboy

This layout was designed by Charissa W. and was part of a swap at Brandy Jo's 2008 Fall Scrapbook Retreat. The two smaller layouts are 6X12 and go in the center of the 12X12. What a neat idea to include some extra pictures. I added the cowboy silhouettes and title. I got the idea for the title from Jessica H. This layout was perfect for my son's cowboy pictures. Thanks for this fun western layout Charissa!

Just Catchin It

I love the way this layout turned out. I did it a while back and just never posted it. The left side is designed after a page I seen on the back of the Creating Keepsake Magazine. It was a soccer page that said "Just Kickin It." I changed it to a baseball page and put all the pictures I had of my son playing catcher.

Grandpa

This layout was designed by my up line, Brandy Jo and was another workshop she had at her 2008 Spring Retreat. The right side of the layout is actually sideways, but I had already glued my picture down, before I realized it!

U Stole My Heart!

This layout was inspired by Majorie Eno’s color challenge #9. We had to use at least three of the following colors: Hollyhock, Sunkiss Yellow, Sweet Leaf, and Cranberry. Thanks, Marjorie, for inspiring me to be creative and use colors I would never think of using together.

Pre School

Here are pictures of my daughter looking all grown up going to Preschool (August 2006). Boy I can't wait to see what look she gives me when she is older!

Dad U Inspire Me!

I entered this layout in a contest Close To My Heart had back in October 2007, at an Album Retreat in Park City, Utah.

I did not win 1st place, but I did get in the top 10!

You cannot see the journaling. It reads:

Dad,

I'll bet you never knew how much you inspired me through out the years! I've learned so much growing up with you as my dad. Although I don't do everything you do, I've always watched and learned from your example!

Your being frugal has shown me the importance of watching my pennies. I'm so proud you've never been in debt considering the state of our crazy world. I really do admire that about you!

You faithfully attended church every Sunday staying steadfast to the rod. Always teaching me how important Christ is in our lives. You truly have enriched my faith in Christ and in you.

You always promoted the importance of higher education, although you never obtained a college degree yourself. Your encouragement gave me the strength to obtain my bachelors degree.

No matter what you say, no matter what you do, I want you to know I'll always love you!

My greatest hope in life is that I can be as inspiring to my children as you have been to me!
