Dear Santa

My children wrote letters to Santa Claus last night. I usually tuck the letters away to scrapbook at a later date and eventually misplace the them. I decided this time to quickly scrapbook their letters with a picture of Santa. The pics were taken at the mall last month.
Update: My baby sister told me I spelled Santa Claus wrong on my son's layout! Oops! I will post a correct one when/if I fix it.

Merry and Bright

This layout was created by my up-line, Brandy Jo. I enjoy going to her workshops. It's nice to get a layout already cut out for me sometimes! Thanks Brandy!

These pictures were taken last year at my daughter's Kindergarten Christmas program. She was the class clown during the program! She kept pulling the collar of her dress over her head and making funny faces. The crowd laughed, which gave her additional motivation to continue the clowning around. I was livid and embarrassed at her behavior! After the program I had other parents coming up to me saying she was great. One father even told me he stopped taping his child, so he could tape her! He probably put her on You Tube.

I had my daughter journal about this night. Here is what she said: I was funny or silly i dont no but i was funny very funny Mom was stoping me but the Pepl were laufing.

SNOW Layouts on Aspen Paper!

This layout is 9x9. The pictures are from January 2006. My son made the snowman by himself. He couldn't stack the snow balls on top of each other, so he placed them side-by-side.

This 12x12 layout was scrap lifted from Jena. I love all the layouts and cards she creates. The pictures are from January 2007. It didn't snow much that winter. I had to take my children up to the mountains so they could go sledding. If you look closely at the pictures you can see the brown colored grass just below the snow.
This 6x6 layout was also scrap lifted from Jena. Thanks Jena for your creative ideas!

Fun with Aspen Paper Packet

The left side of this 12 X 12 layout was scrap lifted from Jena. I love all of her work and when I seen this layout on her blog I feel in love and had to make my own. If I lived close to her I would join her club, even though I sell CTMH products myself! LOL! Now I need to take some fun snow pictures to put on this layout. Thanks Jena for your great ideas!

This 6X6 layout was also scrap lifted from Jena. I just love all of her work! Thanks again Jena for sharing your ideas on your blog! Now I will need to buy a small photo album to put this in. You have not seen the last of Jena's ideas because I am sure to make more! Maybe I should just move to WY!

I created these cards myself! Can you believe it? I usually don't make cards so this was a big stretch for me. I have had many people tell me they want to make cards, so here it is. These cards are for my club members to make in January. The cards are 6X4, 4X4, and 3X3. Thanks for looking!

Bountiful Temple

I got the idea for this layout from the CTMH Autumn/Winter 2008 Idea Book (page 31). I love this Aspen paper!

Jedi Training is all HE wanted

This layout is from a workshop that my up-line Brandy Jo did. I changed the title to fit with my pictures. I had my children journal with me. I have written it using the exact words they used. Here is what we wrote:

I wrote - Once my son watched the Jedi training that's all he wanted to do. We waited and waited, but each time he was not chosen. It killed me when my daughter was chosen instead of him. I know it made him sad to sit and watch her do what he wanted to do so badly! After it was over he told me that they probably didn't pick him because he already knew how to use a light saber and fight like a Jedi. I took my kids to the gift shop to buy a light saber of their own. My son was finally happy.

My son wrote - When my sister got chosen I was jumping like a wild monkey and screaming like a wearwolf because I wanted to go up there but I didn't. The oldest kids up there did not now what he did with the life saber, but I now what he did. I will tell you what he did he swang it back and forth in front of his face 3 times, then stabed it. I was mad that I did not go up there and my sister did. I was wondering how Darthvaders life saber was like it was on T.V.

My daughter wrote - I trieTd to mack my brother raise his hand to get him up there. it was fun Jedi training! I was afrad? it was fun playing! it was fun Playing with the lifesaver I got uyoust to it!

Back to School - Kindergarten

This layout is from a workshop that my up-line Brandy Jo did. I know it's another school layout, but I needed to scrapbook my daughter's pictures from last year. I had to change the layout to make it work for my pictures.

Cowboy

This layout was designed by Charissa W. and was part of a swap at Brandy Jo's 2008 Fall Scrapbook Retreat. The two smaller layouts are 6X12 and go in the center of the 12X12. What a neat idea to include some extra pictures. I added the cowboy silhouettes and title. I got the idea for the title from Jessica H. This layout was perfect for my son's cowboy pictures. Thanks for this fun western layout Charissa!

Guitar POOL

This layout was designed by Julie K. and was part of a swap at Brandy Jo's 2008 Fall Scrapbook Retreat. I didn't have a large picture for the right side, so I used two smaller pictures and a lot of buttons to divide them. I used the Monogram Dimensional Elements for my title and used three buttons to make Mickey ears on the "O". I love how this layout turned out. Thanks for the fun layout Julie!

Treasure Life

This layout was designed by Jana C. and was part of a swap at Brandy Jo's 2008 Fall Scrapbook Retreat. I didn't have a big picture for the right side, so I added the Colonial White cardstock over the Cocoa cardstock and stamped the paper using the August Word Puzzle. I love all of the bright colors in this layout, which was perfect for my Disneyland pictures. Thanks for the awesome layout Jana!

1st Grade - First Day of School

This layout was designed by Heather T. and was part of a swap at Brandy Jo's 2008 Fall Scrapbook Retreat. It was stamped with "September" in the upper left, but my children started school in August, so I change it. I also added white rick-rack, white paper flowers, brads and a pink token. This layout was perfect for my daughter's school pictures. Thanks Heather for the cute layout!

You're A STAR

This layout was designed by Lynette Kankamp. She is a Close To My Heart (CTMH) consultant/director and has earned 7 cruises through CTMH, which means she sells a lot of CTMH product. She had a booth at the USA Scrapbook Expo a few months ago and had this layout for a take-and-make project.

4th of JULY 2008

This layout is from a workshop that my up-line Brandy Jo did this past summer.

Merry Christmas

Fall Memories 2007

The left side of this layout was scrap lifted from the Autumn/Winter 2008 CTMH Idea Book, page 60.

You Warm My Heart

This layout was designed by my up-line, Brandy Jo, and was the workshop at her 2008 Fall Scrapbook Retreat. I changed the snowflake and added lots of buttons.

Mom's PUMPKINS

This was the layout I used for my swap at Brandy Jo's 2008 Fall Scrapbook Retreat. The idea for the left side of this layout came from the Autumn/Winter 2008 CTMH Idea Book/Catalog (page 51). My page is different, but the idea is the same. The right side was added to make it a 2-page layout. I used the Perfect Day Paper Packet.

I plan on changing some of the photos in this layout to sepia because the colors don't match.

Enjoy the Journey

This is a large Magnetic Board I created to decorate my wall. It is made with scrapbook paper glued on a large magnetic board you may have seen in the craft stores. I painted the wooden frame a dark brown and used an elegant light colored rub-on for the wording. The flowers, buckle and large style brads are also magnetic making it easy to hold a variety of pictures on the board. I can change the pictures when I want and have the ability to use an assortment of sizes.

I got the kit from A Page 4 All Seasons. They are an on-line scrapbook store. I love going to their web-site and selecting layouts or kits, which are easily mailed directly to me. It's so easy! I'd recommend their web-site to anyone who loves scrapbooking.

The Magnet Board was created by Amber Packer. She is one of the designers for A Page 4 All Seasons. I love all the things she creates.

The two pictures on the right side were taken my by Mom. The picture on the left side was taken by Kiddie Kandids.

Just Catchin It

I love the way this layout turned out. I did it a while back and just never posted it. The left side is designed after a page I seen on the back of the Creating Keepsake Magazine. It was a soccer page that said "Just Kickin It." I changed it to a baseball page and put all the pictures I had of my son playing catcher.

He's A Keeper

I got the idea for this layout from the CTMH Key Notes (volume 7 - Issue 3). I used Game On Level 2 Paper Packet.

Soccer DAYS

The idea for the left side of this layout came from the Spring 2007 CTMH Idea Book/Catalog. The right side was added to make it a 2-page layout. I used the Game On Level 2 Paper Pack from the Summer 2008 CTMH Idea Book/Catalog.

Snowflakes

I bought this layout from some CTMH consultants who were selling them at retreat. The consultant was either Stacy Day or Ashley Meenderink who created the layout. I loved the layout, but had to add some of my own touches to it: I sewed 3 circles and added buttons all over. I added another hinge and moved 3 brads and put them on the letter S. I changed the letter S from green to pink and added ribbon. I also made a pocket page so I could journal and tuck extra pictures in it. It was nice to get a layout that was creative yet flexible to my needs! Thanks girls!

Spring Break in Las Vegas

I copied this layout from another CTMH consultant, Barbara LaMunion. I love the layouts she creates and may just have to scrap lift a few more. I did this layout at a retreat and I was so sleepy when I did it that the right side ended up being an 11X11 instead of a 12X12! LOL! I had to go add a strip of paper on the side and top to fix it!

TRAIN RIDES

A fellow CTMH consultant and team member, Stacy Day, made this layout. I added mini-brads, ribbon and rick-rack and made a pocket page on the right side to place a sheet of card stock to journal on. I also placed a sheet of card stock for each of my children, so that they could write what they remembered about the train ride. My daughter mostly drew picture's.

Mommy & ME!

This layout idea is not my own. I got the idea from another CTMH consultant, Barbara LaMunion. The colors matched our clothes perfectly.

Pirates

This is one of my favorite layouts.

All AMERICAN Boy

I scrap lifted this layout form the CTMH Summer 2008 Idea Book, on page 76. I loved this layout when I first saw it and knew I would have to do it.

4th of July 2007

I got the idea for this layout form my friend Nicole S. My layout is different from her layout, but I did pick up some of her ideas! Thanks Nicole!

Love U DAD

I scrap lifted this awesome layout from Susie Clayton .

Grandpa

This layout was designed by my up line, Brandy Jo and was another workshop she had at her 2008 Spring Retreat. The right side of the layout is actually sideways, but I had already glued my picture down, before I realized it!

My {Heart) Belongs 2 U

I made this layout after I seen my friend, Michelle Swiger, make one. We both used the same paper pack, but I changed mine a little to fit with my son's pictures.

B True 2 Your {Heart)

This layout was designed by my up-line, Brandy Jo's and was a workshop at her 2008 Spring Retreat.

Happiness

Here is another kit from A Page For All Seasons.

You Are My SUNSHINE!

I went to the USA Scrapbook Expo and picked up a bunch of kits from a new on-line store called A Page For All Seasons. The on-line store was created by one of the scrapbook teachers that used to work at the scrapbook store All My Memories (AMM). AMM is now closed.

YEeHaW!

This layout is for a 9X9 swap I am doing with my unit. We will do the swap at our scrapbook retreat in Eden, Utah next week. I can’t wait to see what the other girls have created.

Mom

This layout was scrap lifted from Amy Mayhew. I did my stamping a little different and I added a little embellishment. The layout idea is all her creation.

Audubon Aquarium of the Americas

This layout was inspired by Marjorie Eno's color challenge #12. We had to use at least three of these colors: Orchard Bouquet, Citrus Leaf, Pink Carnation, and Crystal Blue. I ended up only using the first two colors and added three others, so it didn’t up working for her challenge!

Audubon Zoo

This layout was inspired by Marjorie Eno's color challenge #11. We had to use at least three of these colors: Heavenly Blue, Sweet Leaf, Buttercup, and Chocolate. And we were allowed to add another color if we wanted. I added White Daisy.

The Louisian Swamp Exhibit at The Audubon Zoo

This layout was inspired by Marjorie Eno's color challenge #10. We had to use at least three of these colors: Kiwi, Buttercup, Citrus Leaf, and Topiary. And we were allowed to add another color if we wanted. I added Bubble Gum. I have black ink on the layout too.

Down By The River

The layout was designed by my up-line Brandy Jo did. The left side is from the December 2007 CTMH Workshop. The right side was created by Brandi Jo.

I love this CTMH Free Spirit paper. It was designed by my cousin, Dustin Mackay.
